Judge Audra Riley is the Democratic Nominee for Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Place 4. She currently presides over Texas Criminal District Court 3 with jurisdiction in Dallas County and is in her second term. She has earned a strong reputation for fairness, preparedness and knowledge of the law. In the most recent Dallas Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Poll, Judge Riley receive a 90% approval rating, one of the highest for criminal judges.

Riley has more than 15 years of combined judicial and legal experience. Riley attended and graduated with honors from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology. She then graduated with honors from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Riley started her legal career at the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, where she gained experience as a prosecutor. Riley began in the misdemeanor division, where she tried numerous DWI, theft, prostitution and assault family violence cases. Riley moved up the ranks quickly and was promoted to the felony division. As a felony prosecutor, Riley handled numerous jury trials, including cases for capital murder, murder, manslaughter, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated sexual assault of a child, UPF, and other criminal matters.
